Ethnic Artwork
"In one's own life experience, circumstances
do not always allow us to outrun or steer clear of precarious
situations. However, this work reveals the intrepid
characteristic in all of us that regardless of whatever comes to
surface we will not give up. This is especially true during our own
present time of serious turbulence."
"A
display of my graphic skills using pen and
ink, pencils, and charcoals altogether in a mixed media format in an
effort to highlight the rich heritage of African people. The
artwork includes a nuance look at the silhouette of the African
continent. There is a mass integration of various elements
that
reflect height in Mt. Kilimanjaro, depth in the tribal chieftain, power
in the elephant and rhinoceros, gracefulness in the leopard, etc. - all
within the mind and body of The Africano."
"There
are many artists that have attempted
the colossal task of painting this world-famous location of North
America’s highest waterfall located in Yosemite National Park
in
California. All these artists have experienced the
ever-changing
conditions, but I feel I have captured the falls with the
optimum
lighting. And although people may actually see this location
differently, all will recognize this scene. I took
pain-staking time and called on all my technical skills and perception
to paint this work of art."
