Q & A
Questions and Answers
This “Questions and Answers” page was specifically designed for my patrons to interact with me on a greater personal level since details in About the Artist and the Biography may not have disclosed particular information that may be of interest to my patrons. Since it would be too cumbersome to list all Q&A’s, I will field the ones asked most often or ones that simply cannot be discerned from previous dialogue. However, if your persistence on a particular question has serious intrigue, it will certainly be answered and posted.
- Q: In your biography it was mentioned that you enjoy the culinary arts. Do you cook; and if you do, what is your favorite cooking pleasure? -Robin
- Q: The brief "About the Artist" stated that one of your personal indulgements is a technical illustrator, in the spirit of non-exaggeration as you stated some artist tend to do, would you be open to displaying a technical illustration with an engineering format? -Ken
Answer:
Ken, divulging two disciplines with one request. How thrifty! What would you have me illustrate and in what engr. format? Whatever you request please remember this is an art website as opposed to a technical website therefore professional critique should be only directed to the artwork.
- Reply: Illustrate a concept relative to "Quantum Mechanics" with mathematical theories so simplistic that a young student on an elemental level could appreciated the nuclear physics associated with it. Remember Mr. White "About the Artist" implies that you can do all this.
- Reply: Wow! so it is like that isn't Mr. Ken. The only reply that can be made to a request of this magnitude is when they put you out there you're opened to the scrutiny of all the Kens. Hopefully this request can be successfully answered on my new facebook page currently being developed.
- Q: Why would it be reasonable to purchase artwork from a dealer in some elite gallery when their prices are marked up so much more than this website?-Kay
- Q: About the Artist claims that you are a romantic poet, have you ever published your poetry and would you consider performing a recital of one of your intense love poems? Patti
- Q: Do you remember the school teacher who shaped your character the most and what impact did they have on you? -Wilma
Answer:
Robin, two of my favorite leisures are cooking and eating. I try to make a conscientious effort to cook and eat as healthy as possible; however, fun foods or finger foods are some of my favorite cuisines, such as chicken wings, grilling barbeque (ribs, chicken, chops, etc.); sauces and dips used for chips and pastas. It is my world-class seafood cuisines that keep some of them talking (crab cakes and a seafood quiche containing shrimp, scallops, and spinach), but it is my mouth-watering steaks and fresh brewed special flavored iced teas that keeps most of them talking.
Answer:
Kay, many art dealers in some of these elite galleries have very expensive overhead with respect to their particular locations and the services they offer. These dealers represent the concerns of many artists, have the resources to track down any available piece anywhere in the world, and they are able to negotiate whatever terms to have it expedited to their location. Of course, all these resources are quite costly and can only be passed on to you the consumer. Whereas the essence of this website only concerns the artwork of one artist and is a reflection of the lower costs that can be offered with the same artwork and allows you to negotiate for a lower price.
Answer:
Patti, at this point my poetry has never been published, however, most of them will be published in my memior in the near future and as far as a recital is concerned I'll not shy away from it.
Answer:
Wilma, it was my second grade elementary school teacher Ms. Cotton who dedicated her life to teaching children; she taught for decades before and after me. She was a disciplinarian. She didn’t tolerate unruly kids and she had a paddle that she didn’t mind using to extract some hide for those who needed to be realigned. From the perspective of a child, that paddle looked like a boat oar.
