Seascapes
"Many
people consider a storm to be a violent
force of nature, but I prefer to reflect upon the freshness and new
start that a rain shower brings to our surroundings.
I’ve
used the intense colors that you will occasionally see during an early
morning sunrise or late evening sunset over a body of water. Watch how
the painting looks different as the intensity of the hues change in
direct proportion to the variation of the illumination in the room."
"A
place where one can escape to anytime of
day although it portrays the end of a beautiful peaceful day along a
coastal waterway. Many of the deep rich color hues applied on
this piece are reminiscent of the great masters’ paintings of
old. "
"In one's own life experience, circumstances
do not always allow us to outrun or steer clear of precarious
situations. However, this work reveals the intrepid
characteristic in all of us that regardless of whatever comes to
surface we will not give up. This is especially true during our own
present time of serious turbulence."
"Personally, I find pelicans to be very
fascinating birds especially because of their prehistoric appearance
and for the way they fly and descend in flight to fish for food. White
pelicans are somewhat rare and scarcely populated in respect to other
pelicans. However, if men continue to violate their natural habitat via
heavy pollution, most pelicans in general will become sparse."
"A
picturesque scene that can be found
in the western United States where a crystal lake has postured
the
reflections of a distant glacier mountain range as well as an adjacent
mountain range with its alpine forest. Since a Ponderosa Pine
covers the outermost perimeter of the painting, the perspective is so
true that it has three-dimensional depth and gives the illusion that
you are looking out your window."
"I
have always enjoyed painting actual
locations where majestic mountains are reflected in the beautiful
bodies of water that accompany them. This location is
located inside Kings Canyon National Park in California located south
of Yosemite National Park."
